The reserve has an area of 4,700 hectares and occupies a hill saddle between the Lozen Mountain and the slopes of Ihtiman Sredna Gora.
The relief of the reserve is predominantly low-mountain - hilly, highly dissected. The lowest point is 770 meters above sea level, and the highest is 1150 meters above sea level. The south-western border of the reserve is the 16-kilometer-long coastline of Iskar Dam.
The climate is temperate continental with cold winters and cool summers. It is favorable for the growth of the main tree species - winter oak, beech, Turkey oak, Hungarian oak, white and black pine and is a prerequisite for the extremely good development of healthy and vital game stocks.

The predators are represented by wolf, fox and jackal, as well as several bird species.
The use of game resources on the reserve is done in the form of hunting and by catching live game for displacement. Annually, 50 trophies and 350 selections are used.

The hunting may be individual or group, depending on the species of game. As an extra service you can rent a car and a weapon. We also offer transfer from Sofia Airport or from the place of arrival to the reserve and back, by car or bus.
